18th Summer School of Polish Language and Culture 2017
The course was intended for the students of Polish language studies at foreign academic centers. The purpose of the course was to develop skills in Polish language on different levels. The didactic programme, consisting of lectures and seminars, was conducted in three thematic blocks: linguistic, literary and historical, as well as cultural.
62 students from 15 countries participated in our School (from Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Ireland, Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Scotland, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan).
The main points of the cultural programme were trips to:
- Warsaw (visit to the Old and New Town, the Royal Lazienki[1] Museum, participation in Chopin piano concert, visit to the Warsaw Rising Museum),
- Wola Okrzejska (visit to Henryk Sienkiewicz[2] Museum),
- Wola Gułowska(Muzeum Czynu Bojowego Kleeberczyków[3])
- Dąbrowa (Muzeum of Polish Gentry)
- Local trip around Siedlce (Regional Museum, Diocesan Museum and other monuments).
An integration meeting in Dąbrowa also took place with a bonfire and an artistic programme.
