The objective of POLONISTA programme is to promote Polish language in the world and to help foreigners studying Polish language in foreign academic centers. The programme is addressed to foreign students of Polish philology, Polish studies or Polish programmes implemented as part of Slavic studies (in the scope of Polish language, Polish culture and knowledge about Poland).

During one-semester or two-semester studies in Poland NAWA scholarship holders can develop their interest in Polish language and improve their command of Polish by taking part in lectures and classes according to their chosen field of study, by conducting research, carrying out scientific projects, collecting materials for scientific work or thesis, using the resources of university libraries and archives.

Among NAWA scholarship holders in POLONISTA programme there are students who have chosen Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities to study Polish philology here and who have received a positive decision of NAWA Director in regard thereof.

In academic year 2019/20, in the autumn term, three students from Ukraine were NAWA scholarship holders at our university.
