17th Summer School of Polish Language and Culture 2016
64 people from 14 countries from all-over-the-world took part in the Summer School that lasted from 4th till 31st of July 2016. The didactic programme included lectures, workshops and seminars and was organized in three thematic blocks: linguistic, literary and historical as well as cultural. The programme of the course also consisted of poetic evenings, learning Polish songs and folk dances, workshop meetings.
The main points of the cultural programme were trips to:
- Warsaw (visit to the Old and New Town), the Royal Lazienki Museum (participation in Chopin piano concert), visit to the Warsaw Rising Museum,
- Wola Okrzejska (visit to Henryk Sienkiewicz Museum),
- Treblinka Museum - The Nazi German Extermination and Forced Labour Camp (1941-1944)
- Chlewiska (“Reymontówka” Creative Work House)
- local trips around Siedlce (Regional Museum, Diocesan Museum and other monuments).
Also an outdoor meeting in Mościbrody Manor-House took place where, apart from culinary attractions, there was an artistic performance of a folk artist.
