The Centre for Polish Language and Polish Culture has so far implemented three editions of projects financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the Promotion of the Polish Language programme.

Promotion of the Polish Language – 2024/2025 Edition

The Centre for Polish Language and Polish Culture at the University of Applied Sciences in partnership with Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ivano-Frankivsk is carrying out a project under the Promotion of the Polish Language programme entitled “Translation Zone – Translation Workshops for Students and Young Scholars in Ukraine.”

Promotion of the Polish Language – 2021/2022 Edition

Between April and December 2022, the Centre for Polish Language and Polish Culture implemented an international project entitled “Language and Speech Therapy Workshops for Polish Philology Students and Polish Language Teachers in Lithuania,” funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the Promotion of the Polish Language programme.

The project partner was Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, with organizational support provided by the Centre for Polish Language and Culture.

The project included over 120 hours of workshop activities focusing primarily on oral and written expression, speech fluency, and improving lexical and stylistic richness. It also addressed the elimination of communication disorders.

Three blocks of workshops were held:

• April 19–29, 2022 – online session
• June 13–15, 2022 and August 17–19, 2022 – two on-site sessions in Vilnius

These workshops helped participants expand their knowledge of Polish linguistics, identify causes of speech defects, and learn methods of their correction. Both students and teachers acquired techniques and tools for working with individuals who experience difficulties in Polish language expression. The classes provided practical preparation for effective teaching of Polish phonetics (including stress and intonation), proper grammatical usage, clear diction, and accurate vocal interpretation of spoken texts.

Promotion of the Polish Language – 2019/2020 Edition

The Centre for Polish Language and Polish Culture implemented a project entitled “Workshops on Specialist Polish for Students and Doctoral Candidates in Czech Polish Studies – Palacký University in Olomouc” as part of the Promotion of the Polish Language programme, financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

The project partner was Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

The project's objectives included preparing students and doctoral candidates from Palacký University to work in Poland, facilitating everyday communication with Polish institutions, and promoting the Polish language through elements of Polish history and culture. It aimed to enhance the quality of teaching and the prestige of Polish as a foreign language, with a lasting impact on Poland's international image.

The workshops focused on specialist Polish, including business, medical, journalistic, and legal language, with emphasis on various communicative, discursive, and textual registers.

All activities were conducted online using remote learning technologies.
