We are implementing the NAWA Polish Language Promotion project
We are pleased to inform you that the University of Siedlce (Centre for Polish Language and Culture) is in the group of 18 applications selected in the competition (out of 40 submitted) and is in 5th place as the winner in the NAWA Polish Language Promotion program.
In this project, the UwS partner is the Precarpathian National University, Wasyl Stefanyk from Ukraine. As part of the partnership, we are implementing the grant: Translation Zone - translation workshops for students and young scientists from Ukraine. The source material translated into Ukrainian will be fragments of "War Chronicles 1939-1942 and 1943-1944" by Aurelia Wyleżyńska, a writer and ambassador of Polish culture in France, and at the same time a forgotten writer, included in the project "Forgotten Polish Women Writers - Discovering Lost History". The substantive coordinator of the project is assoc. prof. Beata Walęciuk-Dejneka, with the support of the Ukrainian side coordinated by Samanta Busiło, M.A.
Let us remind you that the current PJP project is the third one carried out at the Center for Polish Language and Culture at the University of Warsaw. The previous two were implemented with the Czech Republic (2019) and Lithuania (2022).
