Polish language course "Get to Know Poland Better"

Apply for the full-time Polish language course for foreigners, "Get to Know Poland Better" funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange!

1st edition : June 22, 2026 – July 5, 2026 (2 weeks)

2nd edition: September 7, 2026 – September 20, 2026 (2 weeks)

Who can participate in the course?

The course can be attended by foreigners or dual citizens (Polish and foreign), who do not have Polish as their first language and meet one of the following conditions:

1) are a student/doctoral candidate at a foreign university,

2) are a first-year student at a Polish university,

3) are a researcher at a foreign university,

4) have graduated from a high school abroad and hold a document entitling them to apply for studies in Poland (the equivalent of the Polish Matura exam) and intend to study in Poland. This document cannot be issued before 2023,

5) are residing outside Poland and are in their final year of high school, the completion of which qualifies them for application to studies in Poland and intends to study in Poland.

Why is it worth it?

Participation in the course is free (the participant only covers travel costs, insurance for the duration of their stay, and any visa costs, if required). Classes are led by experienced academic teachers and Polish language instructors (team: https://ojp.uws.edu.pl/zespol);

The course includes:
– 15 hours per week of basic Polish language classes in groups at appropriate levels;
– 10 hours per week of additional classes, including: workshops on Polish culture, lectures on Polish history and culture, team-building events, participation in joint projects, cultural outings, and additional Polish language classes;
– 2 trips outside Siedlce, including a 2-day trip to Vilnius (Lithuania) as part of a history of Polish literature tour in the footsteps of Adam Mickiewicz (only in the 1st edition of the course)

Participants will receive teaching materials (a textbook and the instructors' own materials);

All participants will receive a certificate of course completion.

Siedlce is located 90 km east of Warsaw, with convenient rail and road connections – the journey takes up to 1.5 hours by train or 50 minutes by car.
We provide accommodation in the city center, in double and triple rooms with bathrooms and kitchen facilities, and access to a gym, TV room, and reading room.
We provide full board.
